"We are working with a tremendous group of children who are really proactive and great fun." - Chris Donnelly, SATTF Actor and Workshop Director on Term 1 workshops.
Workshops
Due to high demand, we have extended our annual Season Workshops to run over two terms. The course will run over 15 Saturday mornings from 14th Jan 2011 - 5th May 2012. Our professional actors will work with workshop participants to encourage, stimulate and inspire to them to participate in the unique world of theatre. The young people and children will work with members of the company to devise their own performance for the end of the Shakespeare season.
Participants of SATTF's Season Workshops are encouraged to embrace the ethos of the company: commitment, respect, and a professional attitude. We hope they'll create new friendships and learn from one another, while developing valuable skills and a love of theatre.
About SATTF
Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory (SATTF) is one of the leading professional producers of Shakespeare in the U.K. From our inception twelve years ago, we have mounted annual, two-play spring seasons of Shakespeare (and others) at our home in Bristol's most exciting studio theatre. The 2011 season of Richard II and The Comedy of Errors - directed by Andrew Hilton - was incredibly well received and another resounding success. Last year also saw the second co-production between SATTF and the Bristol Old Vic with Molière’s The Misanthrope, whilst The Comedy of Errors transferred to the Exeter Northcott for a two-week season immediately after its run at the Tobacco Factory.
